If you live in or around Watford, Hertfordshire, you’ll probably remember the old CLEMENTS Department store. CLEMENTS opened in 1898 and finally closed its doors in 2004. A traditional store, with old-fashioned values, CLEMENTS was held in high regard in the local community.
But all is not lost! The name of CLEMENTS returned to the original CLEMENTS building, which was then a T J HUGHES discount store. Now T J Hughes has gone and so CLEMENTS has moved, again, this time to the Ground Floor and the 1st Floor of Charter Place, just outside the entrance to the Harlequin. There you will find CLEMENTS HOME FURNISHINGS – and a fabulous range of quality carpets, beds and furniture in our 2 Showrooms.
It’s not just a name either – CLEMENTS is owned and run by Directors Clive and Alan Brooks. Clive and Alan used to fit carpets for the original CLEMENTS department store. The new business retains a traditional service ethos and old-fashioned values – a rare approach in today’s fast-moving consumer society. Clive and Alan have over 50 years experience in the carpet and furniture trade between them. They offer practical advice to help you make the best choices for carpets and furniture to enhance your home.
Come to CLEMENTS on the Ground Floor and 1st Floor of Charter Place, Watford and you’ll receive a warm welcome, a first-rate service and excellent quality flooring, beds and furniture at prices which offer you real value for money. |
